Today, you need to know that you can do this.

That you are capable.

That you are incredibly powerful as a human being, as a spiritual being.

Do you know that the eating disorder is actually a great gift?

Yeah, I know if you are struggling you might not want to hear that right now.

But how else are you ever supposed to learn HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF?

If you didn’t have the eating disorder, then you would NEVER have to learn how to do this.

I remember when I was still struggling, I thought it was a curse and definitely not a blessing.

I know how hard this is.

I know how difficult it is some days to deal with and go through.

But it is something that you MUST go through, with your head held high.

You CAN do this.

The fact that the SHIT is coming up is a GOOD THING.

It is coming up so that you can learn how to heal it, transform it and let it go.

It is here to help you learn, help you grow, help you evolve.

That is the entire point behind having an eating disorder– as long as you KNOW deep within your heart that you are meant to OVERCOME.

You are not meant to struggle and fight and battle this thing the rest of your life.

HELL NO!!!

You are meant to rise above, and the only way to do it is to shift your mindset just a bit…

Away from, “Why is this happening to me???”

to…

“What can I learn from this?  In what ways can this help me to grow?”

That is the difference between playing a victim and beginning to step into an EMPOWERED place.

Empowering yourself to actually be able to MAKE A CHOICE now.

You have a CHOICE on whether or not you want to listen to the eating disorder or not.

You can either choose to react out of a place of fear, and do what you’ve always done, and succumb to the eating disorder behaviors.

OR

You can choose to respond from a place of LOVE for yourself and CHOOSE to do it differently.

It means CHOOSING sometimes what would feel like the harder thing to do.

It means CHOOSING to reach out, to ask for support.

It means CHOOSING to speak your truth and express yourself authentically whatever you are feeling in that moment.

It means CHOOSING to love yourself and use a healthy and loving TOOL rather than use the eating disorder to cope.

It means CHOOSING to journal and write about how you feel and what you are going through, even when you don’t want to.

It means CHOOSING to take care of yourself and be gentle on yourself.

It means CHOOSING to speak to yourself firmly, yet kindly on which direction you are going to take.

LOVE!!!

It DOESN’T mean listening to the eating disorder voice.

It DOESN’T mean numbing out, distracting yourself or stuffing down what you’re feeling.

It DOESN’T mean pretending to be okay.

It DOESN’T mean prioritizing others needs before your own.

You are too important and too valuable to forget about these truths and dumb yourself down and keep playing small in your life.

You are meant to SHINE.

You are meant to play BIG in your life, and sometimes that means that we need to do things that are EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE and SCARY and OMG– that bring up a high level of anxiety for you.

But I know you can get through it.

The pain and stuck-ness has a purpose.

It is here so that you can go through it.

And on the other side there is peace.

There is LOVE.  There is fulfillment.  There is acceptance.

This is where you grow into the strong, self-confident and self-worthy woman you are meant to become.

By going through your fears ANYWAY.

NO MATTER WHAT.

No matter what happens today, YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES.

You can do this.

You can recover.

You can BREAK FREE!!!

Remember:  Each and every day to do the work and take the baby steps that you need to get you closer and closer to the goal– FULL RECOVERY and FREEDOM.

You are amazing, beautiful soul!!!!!

In light + love,
